Giacomo Gariboldi’s eponymous team partnered with Honda in the 2014 MX2 season, quickly establishing themselves as a formidable force in the sport. In 2015, with Tim Gajser, the team claimed the MX2 World Championship title aboard the CRF250R, and followed that achievement in 2016 with Gajser’s first MXGP title on the CRF450RW. Under Gariboldi’s leadership, Gajser and Team HRC have since secured additional titles in 2019, 2020, and 2022. As they approach the 2025 season, the Honda HRC enters with their strongest line-up in years, aiming to build on their continued success.

Marcus Pereira de Freitas

Marcus Pereira de Freitas HRC General Manager - MXGP

Marcus Pereira de Freitas, a highly respected chief mechanic and long-time key figure at Honda and HRC, transitioned to a management role in HRC’s Motocross World Championship campaign in 2018. He continues to serve in this capacity for the 2025 season, following successful title-winning campaigns in 2019, 2020, and 2022.

Roger Harvey

Roger Harvey HRC Advisor - MXGP

Roger Harvey is a seasoned motocross veteran, with a racing career spanning nearly two decades and a notable 1983 British 125 Championship title. Known for his keen insights and lighthearted humor, Roger was always at the centre of the action. After a brief departure from motocross, during which he managed the Castrol Honda British and World Supersport Championship team and contributed to the development of the Isle of Man TT Blade project with John McGuinness, Roger returned to lead Honda’s motocross program. His extensive racing experience, deep knowledge of the sport, and sharp wit made him one of the most respected and popular team managers in motocross. Since 2018, he has transitioned into an advisory role, continuing to lend his expertise to Honda HRC.
